Vanwege even het een en ander aan andere dingen aan mijn hoof heb ik helemaal gemist dat ik inmiddels 400 dagelijks gezichtsschoten heb geupload. De laatste tijd doe ik dat vanaf mijn mobiel, dus dan mis je zomaar de interactie met de website. Hierboven, verdeeld in vier gelijke blokken (blok linksboven is 1 tot 100, rechtsboven 101 tot 200 etc).

Ondertussen ben ik bijna volledig geannexeerd door buro RuSt. En voor buro RuSt maakte ik onlangs het nieuwe boekje voor Creative Urbans. Als iets waar je zo hard aan gewerkt hebt opeens tastbaar is ben je natuurlijk trots. Daarom geef ik alvast trots een preview aan de hand van twee smoezelige iPhonefotootjes:

Sinds vandaag heb ik de iPhone 3GS, editie 32GB zwart. Vooral vanwege de videofunctie. Hoe goed is die? Hierbij een kleine testvideo – ook van het uitpakken van de iPhone, gefilmd met de Kodak Zi6. Eén kanttekening: de iPhone neemt geluid veel zachter op dan de Zi6 (die sowieso opneemt op een flink volume vergeleken met bijvoorbeeld de Flip Video), dus het volume van de iPhone-fragmenten is opgekrikt met 9db.

Michael Jackson (P.Y.T.) zorgde voor veel mooie momenten in ons leven. En daarom moeten we niet alleen treuren, maar ook positief blijven. Onze jeugd is niet dood. Het glas is nog voor 80% vol. Tuurlijk, een is ons ontvallen, maar er zijn er nog vier. C’mon.

Natuurlijk, zijn er allerlei heiligen met een bijzonder schone staat van dienst. Maar het kan natuurlijk een keertje mis gaan. Te veel gedronken, teveel borsten, teveel te weinig. Redenen genoeg. En op de vraag hoe je het in Godsnaam je partner vertelt, hebben we nu een antwoord gemaakt.

Gisteravond samen met Ilse de laatste voorstelling van het seizoen in het Comedy Theater bekeken van mijn lievelings-improgroep (om ziljoen redenen) Op Sterk Water. Het werd een boven verwachting leuke avond/nacht en dat terwijl mijn verwachtingen al zeer hoog gespannen waren. Wat overblijft zijn wat wazige foto’s:

Natuurlijk kunnen ook wij het rapport van de commissie-Brinkman niet aan ons voorbij laten gaan. I’ve been collecting a lot of info regarding the Internet radio project with regards to licensing, streaming, providers, software, etc.
I’ve also received a lot of tips and info from people that would like to help shape and create the ultimate radio station from scratch. That’s really great. We can really use all the help we can get.
There’s so much information still to be gathered and due to my visual handicap I can’t read it all myself, so I really need help.

The project now has OldSchoolFM as a work title.
I’ve registered oldschoolfm.net today, which should be forwarded to this site soon.

Let’s make it personal

This is just an idea. The tagline has to make it clear that this radio station uses computers but is not run by them. It’s all about real radio, like in the 80′s, created with real people, with live shows and flexibility. Not automated to death. Not everything will go as ‘planned’, but hey! We’re only human, right? Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be?

From what I understand so far, after reading a lot of licensing info, I think the UK would be the best country to stream from. Somehow the UK has a much better approach to webcasting than the Netherlands.
Again, all thoughts, ideas and feedback are welcome. It’s needed actually.

Please read earlier blogposts as well. That saves me from a lot of copying and pasting.

I’ve found that there’s so much info to be read, that I can’t do it on my own. Due to my visual handicap I can only read so much, so I really need help.

Last week, and probably for more to come, I am working on letting the world know about My Name Is E. A great platform to keep all your contact information and social platform connections in one place. E connects you to the real world and bridges the gap between online and offline life. With a mobile phone, or the Connector that is currently in production, you can easily connect to people you meet (and if they give you their username you can connect after creating your account). Because you are connected to their digital business card, you will never loose track.
Apart from the cold hard data, there is also the social platforms. Some of them have already allowed My Name Is E to connect via OAuth, i.e. you are friends the moment you connect. As E will get bigger, more of the sites will understand that a contact made via E is actually a real-world befriending. So no second invitation and accepting should be needed.

Woest and My Name Is E have a strategic partnership, where we handle the commercial side of the business. That’s why I am creating slick stuff in After Effects and the likes, to show suprisingly big names in The Netherlands and Belgium what this revolutionairy thing is about.

Especially the advanced options you have with the Connector (with NFC that works via rfid) offer unlimited possibilities and really spark the imagination. Like favouriting objects in the real world. Like identifying yourself. Like getting acces. Like lots of things you will find out in the coming years. Very cool project to work an. Lots of fun.

When the time is right (and some rights cleared) I will post the presentation I am working on. In the meantime, you can connect with me. At least make your own E account, so you can say you witnessed the birth of something very special from the beginning.

Soon I’ll be posting some ideas about starting an Internet Radio station.
The most important goal is creating live and real radio, instead of the dead automated junk that’s out there at the moment.
because I’d like to know what you, as potential listeners, think and would like, I’ll also be tweeting and creating podcasts about it.
Let’s bring back the 80′s way of making radio. Live! Real! Using current technology as tools but NOT automating everything to death.
Internet Radio with great music, listener input and maybe some talk radio. Everything is possible, as long as it’s real.
It would be so great to be able to create a team of kindred spirits from all over the world to help shape the ultimate radio station.
I’d also need show ideas and production teams. If you have ideas or thoughts, please let me know.
